Snowfall Album Art

“Snowfall” – 02/09/24

Snowfall is a piece that I wrote which encapsulates bringing light and warmth to the dark world that we live in. Even when we are surrounded by a blizzard with no real end in sight, there’s always a light that shines in the darkness and guides us through the storm; I hope this piece has that same effect on the world around me.

Michael Moore’s latest composition, Snowfall, is a brilliant new short work for piano. It is masterfully performed and well produced. Snowfall uses broken chord patterns to effectively paint a musical picture of falling snow, blanketing the landscape. At the same time, the work stays true to its pure musical idea and the result is a very lovely, listenable work of music. This work is comparable to the piano works of Richard Clayderman in its accessibility and high quality. It’s easy to see that, with this gift for descriptive, melodic composing, that this composer will someday soon make a name for himself in the film scoring industry.

Waves Album Art with M Logo by Michael Evan Moore

“Waves” – 10/21/22

“Waves” was written back in 2019, and it takes the listener on a journey through the ups and downs of life. Through arpeggiated chords on the piano and sweeping melody from the cello, a picture is painted of the challenges of life through the rough tides and the peace and stillness found in the low tide. This piece was written during my undergrad when I found out I had lost my grandma which hit me really hard. During the years following her passing, I learned how to move forward and see the good in life without her.

Waves also applies to my life today, having gone through the journey with its ups and downs, finding joy in every day. The piano emulates life continuing on, and the cello is like the voice in the wilderness, singing a beautiful melody to the ends of time. The song can be interpreted in so many ways, being mysterious yet clear and relatable at the same time. Let’s go on a journey together through the waves of life.

You can find this everywhere on October 21st, and an accompanying music video will be released the same day to give you a picture of what waves looks like to me. Make sure to pre-save below, add this song to your playlists, and share it with your friends and family!

Freedom Album Art with M Logo by Michael Evan Moore

“Freedom” – 7/2/21

I wrote “Freedom” around the same time as my grandmother’s passing. It’s a song very near and dear to my heart. I faced hardships in school, found out about the passing of my grammy, and simply living life and the personal struggles that led to the creation of this song. “Freedom” is a canvas of my journey to find exactly what the title suggests.

It is currently just for solo piano, but there will be future arrangements for more instruments and grandeur. It has a Celtic vibe to its melodic and rhythmic embellishments, and was originally written to signify an eagle soaring over green fields. I thought of the butterfly later, as it signifies my grandma’s spirit.

Freedom has been in the making for several years now, and was originally performed at my recital in my undergrad. The piece released on 7/2/21, it is available everywhere to be streamed and purchased. If you would like to reach out to me, feel free to use the contact tab on the homepage! I look forward to hearing your impressions and your stories! If you’d like to purchase ”Freedom”, click here.

Memories Album Art with M Logo by Michael Evan Moore

“Memories” – 1/15/21

I wrote “Memories” for my grandma who passed away a few years back. It covers a multitude of feelings: Firstly, from the good times in the past. Secondly, to the hard times where my grandma was in and out of the hospital until she passed. Finally, the reality of the present and the hope for the future. “Memories” illustrates the grieving process in the form of a song. It’s climax outlines the emotions that I felt before and when I lost my grandma. Everyone has lost someone in their lives. I hope that this song reaches people where they are at in that process, and gives them hope. Also, assuring them that it’s ok not to be ok.

Cameron Evans, my soprano saxophone player, did a beautiful job on his part in the song. All of what he recorded was original and improvisation (Except the ending, where he references the old familiar tune from Red Riding Hood, in a minor key, but with a similar tune). I mixed and produced this piece, and had it mastered by Lucas Pimental, who made this song stand out apart from the crowd. He also “Mastered For iTunes”, and provided the highest quality recording possible. Overall, I am very thankful for the result of the piece, and I hope that people are blessed by the meaning of the song, and are able to relate to it in their own lives.

Memories has been in the making for several years now, and was originally performed at my recital in my undergrad. As of 1/15/21, it is available everywhere to be streamed and purchased. The Unknown Album Art with M Logo by Michael Evan Moore

“The Unknown” – 09/09/18

His debut single, “The Unknown” released in 2018, captures the essence of life’s unknown nature, being unpredictable, and absolutely subject to change. Throughout my undergrad, I was faced with moments that depicted what this piece is written about. The fear of not knowing what’s next, but trudging on towards the light. It’s a piece that began my musical journey, and is one that I am planning to revisit in the near future. Stay tuned!
