Waves

Waves was released on October 21st, 2022, as well as having an accompanying music video that premiered the same day.

I wrote “Waves” back in my undergrad during a time of uncertainty and loss. The juxtaposition of the cello and arpeggiating piano represent a lone voice crying out amidst the rolling sea of life.

You can listen to “Waves” on all platforms (i.e. Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Youtube, etc)

Below is the “Waves” Official Music Video.

What Listener’s Are Saying About Waves…

Michael, this piece is absolutely beautiful. It is very minimalistic, relaxing and soothing. I love the ambient nature of the cello and piano mix. Keep up the excellent work. Looking forward to hearing more from you.

Emmanuel Songsore

Your writing here is lovely – it reminds me of the opening to Gounod’s Ave Maria. Really expansive and emotionally written. I love your use of dissonance, great job!

Ben Inman

This is absolutely stunning. In love with the orchestration, the dreamy piano line, this is very brilliant. Could definitely picture this in a movie.

Kris Cherry

A strong cello presence, over piano, a good combo, an instrumental with a relax-and-float-downstream vibe, with the cello (or viola or violin) adding gravitas… overall like this, good luck…

Steve April

Man… Such a beautiful and relaxing song! If you love the soothing and peaceful vibes of piano and cello, LISTEN. TO. WAVES.

Stephen Bankole-Wright

I love classical music and this is a very nice piece, very soothing.

Shimae Parks

A very beautiful combination. This music takes you somewhere. Doesn’t strain your ears and sounds great. I really liked it. Thanks for the creativity. Do not stop! Good luck to you.
